Our Services to Women & Children

Garden City Rescue Mission's Women and Children's Division opened its doors on January 9, 2007 .

Each woman and child who comes for help will receive:

  • A change of clothes.
  • Any personal hygiene or basic first aid help needed.
  • A shower with soap, shampoo, wash cloth and towel provided.
  • A warm meal with dessert.
The women attend either a chapel service or Bible study each evening.

While the women are in Bible study the children are cared for by volunteers in our play room.

  • Clean, safe bed for the night.
  • Breakfast in the morning.
  • Free bus tickets to go to work (Provided through us by United Way )
  • GED classes that are held on site at the Mission (Hosted by Augusta Tech)
  • Free out of town bus ticket if needed (Provided through us by United Way )
