I have some clothes I want to donate. What do I do with them?

You can bring them down to the mission at 828 Fenwick Street, Augusta, GA at any time. If you have any questions you can call 706-724-6960. We gladly accept clothing for men, women and children. The clothes are given away freely to the homeless people.


What can I donate to Garden City Rescue Mission?

We accept many different donations. Some of these include financial donation, clothing for men, women, and children age 5 and under, etc. For a complete list of our needs please click here


How many people are sheltered there?

On a typical night there will be about 50 men and 15-20 women and children.


How long can someone stay at the mission?

A guest receives 10 nights of emergency shelter per month. Other arrangements are made on an individual basis depending on the need.


Does GCRM receive government funding?

No. The mission is completely funded by private donations from individual, churches, businesses and private grants.


How old do you have to be to stay at the Shelter?

Men must be 18 or older. Ladies must be 18 or older and children ages 5 and under are accepted.


Who do I make a check payable to when I make a financial donation?

Checks should be made payable to Garden City Rescue Mission and mailed to PO Box 2493 Augusta, GA 30903.


Why is the Women's Shelter not open every night?

The Women and Children's DShelter is our newest division here at the Mission. We are working hard to raise the funds to be able to add new staff. Right now we are simply under staffed and unable to be open each night.
